The official rules of Heaven and Hell Scape are very different, each one is gift wrapped with it's own special punishment that comes with breaking that rule. There are 2 types of rules, forum rules which apply only on forums, and server rules, rules that apply in game. These rules are listed in no certain order. I have also made a points system, so that points may collide resulting in punishment.
How points work: Basically, if a person breaks a rule, depending on what rule it is, he will receive points. These points will go against him, and according to the points chart, the punishment will vary. Like the 2 types of rules, there are 2 types of point charts, one for forum rules and server rules with the punishments varying. Let's say a person gets 5 points for breaking a server rule. Although the rule was a server rule, the person will still receive the 5 point punishment for forum rules. Points can stack. Points can also be reduced if a mod or admin sees that you have shaped up and deserves the loseing of your points. How ever, if you EVER reach 6 or more points, even if you go below 6, you will never be modded or admined.
This is the official points chart for forum rules:
1 Point = Warning.
2 Points = Stern Warning.
3 Points = 12 Hour posting ban.
4 points = 24 hour posting ban.
5 points = 12 Hour ban from the forums/game and a 24 hour posting ban.
6 points = 2 day long forum and server ban + never being modded or admined.
7 points = 3 day long forum and server ban.
8 points = 5 day long forum and server ban.
9 points = 1 Week long forum and server ban + server account reset.
10 Points = Permanent forum and server ban.
This is the official points chart for server rules:
1 Points = Warning.
2 Points = Stern warning.
3 Points = Possibly a ban or further warning.
4 Points = 24 Hour ban
5 Points = 48 hour Ban.
6 Points = 3 Day Ban + never being modded.
7 Points = 4 day ban.
8 Points = 5 day ban + account reset.
9 Points = Week or Longer ban.
10 Points = Permanent Ban.
Forum rules (in no order):
1. Spamming. This is posting serveral or one worthless post that has nothing to do with the topic.
1st incident = 1 point.
2nd incident = 2 more points.
3rd incident = 3 more points.
4th incident = 4 more points.
2. Double Posting, Triple posting, etc. This is posting a post after another post without someone else's post in between them.
1st incident = 1 point.
2nd incident = 1 more points.
3rd incident = 1 more points.
4th incident = 2 more points.
5th incident = 2 more points.
6th incident = 3 more points.
3. Not editting. There's a button called "Edit" which allows you to, instead of makeing a whole new thread or post to make a new point, you can fix your post.
1st incident = 1 point.
2nd incident = 1 more points.
3rd incident = 1 more points.
4th incident = 2 more points.
5th incident = 2 more points.
6th incident = 3 more points
4. Cap Locks. Don't post thread titles or posts in all caps. Many people find it very annoying.
1st incident = 1 point.
2nd incident = 1 more points.
3rd incident = 1 more points.
4th incident = 2 more points.
5th incident = 2 more points.
6th incident = 3 more points
5. Always post in the correct forum section. Look before you post.
1st incident = 1 point.
2nd incident = 1 more points.
3rd incident = 1 more points.
4th incident = 2 more points.
5th incident = 2 more points.
6th incident = 3 more points
6. Flaming. Flaming is constantly bugging someone or insulting someone in every post, such as makeing a regular post but adding at the bottom "(insert name here) sucks".
1st incident = 3 point.
2nd incident = 3 more points.
3rd incident = 3 more points.
4th incident = 1 more points.
7. Search. Before you making a thread and asking a question, please search around on the forums. Your question might have already been answered with a more in-depth explanation then you had expected.
1st incident = 1 point.
2nd incident = 1 more points.
3rd incident = 1 more points.
4th incident = 2 more points.
5th incident = 2 more points.
6th incident = 3 more points
8. Be polite. Treat others how you would like to be treated.
1st incident = 2 points.
2nd incident = 3 more points.
3rd incident = 3 more points.
4th incident = 2 more points.
9. Grave-digging. This is posting in a topic that is older then 1 month, and by older, I mean it has not been posted in for one month. This rule is STRICTLY enforced.
1st incident = 1 point.
2nd incident = 4 more points.
3rd incident = 2 more points.
4th incident = 3 more points.
10. No porn. Posting porn in the photo thread is a great way to get banned. Porn can not be in avatars or signatures.
1st incident = 5 points.
2nd incident = 4 more points.
3rd incident = 1 more point.
11. Do not post WareZ. WareZ are illegal downloads, videos, etc and posting them can result in federal law being able to shut down our site.
1st incident = 8 points.
2nd incident = 2 more points.
12. Topic Titles. The titles of topics must not be inexplanitory or vague, such as "Read this for fun!", topic titles must be breif and descriptive.
1st incident = 2 points.
2nd incident = 3 more points.
3rd incident = 3 more points.
4th incident = 2 more points.
Server Rules. These rules only apply in game during game play.
1. Swearing, or cursing. This rule is strictly enforced. There is an acceptable way to curse and an unacceptable way to curse. The wrong way to go about it is cursing at someone directly, such as "You ****bag". The more accepted way to curse is "**** i died!". Although, it is fine to curse in that situation, please keep cursing minimal.
1st incident = 1 point.
2nd incident = 3 more points.
3rd incident = 4 more points.
4th incident = 1 more point.
2. Item scamming. Item scamming is defined as offering a fair deal for someone but then removing your part of the deal and taking the other person's items. This rule is strictly enforced. An example of item scamming is:
Player 1 offerers 50k for Player 2's pirate hat. Player 2 agrees. Player 1 puts down his 50k and Player 2 puts down his pirate hat. They both click ready but Player 2 slyly removes the pirate hat. Player 1 doesn't notice. The trade is completed and Player 2 scammed Player 1 his 50k.
When reporting someone for item scamming YOU MUST have proof in order for your items to be returned.
1st incident = 3 points + scammed item is returned (if conditions apply).
2nd incident = 3 more points + scammed item is returned (if conditions apply).
3rd incident = 3 more points + scammed item is returned (if conditions apply).
4th incident = 1 more point + scammed item is returned (if conditions apply).
3. Password scamming. When trading accounts or selling accounts, the correct password MUST be given to the buyer/seller/or other person. Admins and mods are not responsible for recovering passwords for accounts.
1st incident = 10 points.
4. Cheating and Bug Abuse. Bugs are there to be destroyed, not to be used. When you find a bug, you must report it to the "Report a Bug" forum instantly. Maybe, depending on the severity of the bug, a reward may follow reporting it. Abusing a bug is simply using the bugs unfair advantage to your benefit.
1st incident = 6 points.
2nd incident = 4 more points.
5. Staff Impersonation. Although not as enforced as on RuneScape, it shouldn't be done. Impersonating staff members can confuse new players into thinking that someone who isn't a staff member, really is a staff member. Remember, ALL mods have Silver crowns next to their names in game, and ALL admins have gold crowns next to their names in game. There is no such thing as an "undercover" mod or admin.
1st incident = 1 point.
2nd incident = 2 more points.
3rd incident = 3 more points.
4th incident = 2 more points.
5th incident = 2 more points.
6. Cheat Clients. Do not using other clients or other sources to gain an unfair advantage in the game,
1st incident = 10 points.
7. Encouraging others to break rules. A person who encourages other people to do bad things is called an Antagonist. This rule has no accurate points chart because depending on what rule the antagonist told the other person to break, and how much damage was done by the other person, the points handed out may very.
8. Respect Updates. It is impossible to have 100% of the people be happy with an update or new addition. Goddess makes updates so that the majority of the people may benefit. If a new update doesn't specifically meet your wants then do not rant and cry all over the forums. Simply suggest a new update or ask for a small tweak in the update.
1st incident = 2 points.
2nd incident = 3 more points.
3rd incident = 3 more points.
4th incident = 2 more points.
9. Although there is no penalty for selling an account, whether it be HAHS or Runescape, to another player, admins and mods are *NEVER* responsible for scamming. Although the scammer will be permanently banned, we will not search tooth and nail to recover what you have lost. There are no points for this. But that does not mean you can take someone's account and get away with it. We will catch you!
10. Dupeing. By far, the most enforced rule in HAHS. Dupeing is not, and never will be tolerated. Dupeing is using cheating or hacking to gain extra items or money.
1st incident = 10 points + future account immediate bans.
What does "future account immediate bans mean"?
Basically, if a duper gets caught dupeing he gets banned permanently. Also, if he makes another account, as soon as we find out that it's him, and have good prove, he will be banned no matter how many points he has, how well his account is doing stat wise, or how many items he has.
